Frequently Asked Questions

Please text me, email or call me 24/7 to answer any questions you may have.

Question 1: Do you travel to hospitals, nursing homes, or correctional facilities?

Yes, I offer mobile notary services to hospitals, nursing homes, and correctional facilities, provided access is granted. Additional travel fees may apply depending on the location.

Question 2: What areas do you serve as a mobile notary?

I serve various areas in Virginia. I have quick access to Fauquier, Prince William, and Fairfax Counties. Please contact me directly to inquire about specific service areas and availability. I can cover all of VA or anywhere in the world via RON (remote on-line notarization).

Question 3: Do you offer after-hours, weekend, holidays and emergency notary services?

Yes, I offer flexible hours, including evenings, weekends and holidays, by appointment. Additional fees may apply.

Question 4: Can you notarize documents for use outside of the U.S.?

Yes, I can notarize documents intended for use abroad. If necessary, I can also provide apostille service, which is a certification that authenticates the notarial act for use in countries that are part of the Hague Convention.

Question 5: What should I do if my document requires witnesses?

If your document requires witnesses, please ensure that the witnesses are present at the time of signing. If you do not have a witness I will be happy to provide them for you.

Question 6: What should I do if I need a notarization but cannot physically sign the document due to a disability?

If you are unable to physically sign the document, Virginia allows "signature by mark." This means you can use an "X" or another mark in the presence of two witnesses. The notary will ensure that the process is properly documented and legally valid.

Question 7: Can I get a notarized copy of my birth certificate, passport, or Social Security card?

No, notaries cannot certify copies of vital records such as birth certificates, passports, or Social Security cards. To obtain a certified copy, you must contact the issuing agency, such as the Virginia Department of Vital Records.

Question 8: What happens if my document requires multiple signers in different locations?

If multiple signers are in different locations, each individual may have their portion notarized separately. I offer mobile and remote notarization services to accommodate signers in different places.
